Ahead of Mandela Day (which is marked on July 18), Muizenberg residents were treated to some loving warmth by an organisation called 67 Blankets for Mandela Day. Scarves knitted specially for the event were handed out to the needy and cold on Thursday July 13. Other scarves were tied to the bridge across the vlei, with notes inviting anyone who needed them, to help themselves.
