Like many, Heideveld Cycling Club members are looking forward to unwinding this holiday, to park their bikes and recharge their batteries after a busy year that includes taking part in various races across the city.
Established in 2021, founder and head coach, Reginald de Lilie said the youngsters in his care can hardly wait to get back in the saddle, starting with the Winelands race in January, the 99er race in Durbanville in February, the Tour de PPA and Cape Town Cycle Tour in March.
For now, says De Lilie, it’s time to take a break and finish their final preparation for the club’s end-of-year lunch.
Anybody that can assist with lunch packs or donations of any kind, is welcome to contact him. More importantly, he says, if anyone is willing to assist the club with entries to next year’s races or with cycling gear, they can call 083 303 1397.
