Singer Lynelle Kenned and pianist Stefan Lombard will perform on Saturday October 9 at Norval Foundation in Tokai, at 5pm.
The recital will take the audience through the worlds of opera, traditional and contemporary art songs and melodies from the musicals.
Kenned and Lombard have long shared a special connection. Their collaboration started in 2014 with the UK tour of Cape Town Opera’s Showboat. Subsequently they have worked on various productions including David Kramer’s Orpheus in Africa, Cape Philharmonic Orchestra Community Gala concerts and similar popular orchestral showcases.
Lombard will perform on a Fazioli sponsored by Ian Burgess-Simpson Pianos.
Tickets cost R220 per person including a welcome drink and all-day access to Norval Foundation, a centre dedicated to the research, education and exhibition of 20th and 21st century visual art from South Africa and beyond.
To accommodate all Covid-19 safety protocols, seating capacity is limited to 60 people and advance booking is required. The concert will also be live streamed through Penny Lane Studios. Book through Quicket.
