Marlene Schiefer in her letter, (“First check the price of diesel,” Echo, November 15), correctly states that the price of diesel varies from one service station to another, and here in the South Peninsula we are indeed ripped off!
It’s more cost-effective to fill your tank when you’re up the line. I patronise the Caltex Ladies Mile Motors in Bergvliet where diesel 50ppm costs R16.76 on weekdays, and if you choose Sunday, it’s 20c per litre less.
