Instead of maximalist luxury, Porsche relies on the 60th. Anniversary of the 911 on tradition-conscious purism. For the birthday of the sports car icon, the manufacturer is launching the limited special model Porsche 911 S/T.

Consistent lightweight construction and pure driving pleasure should be the focus here. The result is the - according to the company - lightest elf of the 992 generation. Because the new Porsche weighs just 1,380 kilograms. "This means that the street athlete weighs another 40 kilograms less than a manual 911 GT3 Touring," it says.

"The exclusive anniversary model combines the strengths of the 911 GT3 models with touring package and 911 GT3 RS and offers a unique combination of agility and driving dynamics," promises the car manufacturer.

The limited Porsche 911 is powered by the free-sucking four-liter boxer engine from the GT3RS. According to the manufacturer, it brings its power of 386 kW (525 hp) to the road for the first time by manual transmission and lightweight clutch.

The limited Porsche 911 S/T builds on a particularly sporty predecessor. "From 1969, Porsche offered the 911 S with a special competition version. Internally, these vehicles were called 911 ST," the manufacturer recalls at the announcement.

Modifications to the chassis, wheels, engine and body significantly improved the longitudinal and transverse dynamics. Large spoilers or other aerodynamic aids have not yet been used in these models."

Porsche Chronograph for the anniversary

Porsche celebrates these bonds to its own history with a Heritage Design Package. Buyers can thus give their new sports car the look of the competition version of the 911 S of the late 60s and early 70s, among other things by starting number on the doors.

Here, a number between 0 and 99 can be selected. Porsche also accompanies the special model with the Chronograph 1 - 911 S/T made of titanium.

The new Porsche 911 S/T is limited to 1963 copies. It can be ordered from now on. Prices start at 292,187 euros. The chronograph costs 11,950 euros.
