Talk on responsible tourism

Professor Harold Goodwin will deliver a presentation on responsible tourism, at the Simon’s Town community hall, on Monday April 7, at 6pm. Professor Goodwin is a professor emeritus and senior fellow at the Institute of Place Management at Manchester Metropolitan University, managing director of the Responsible Tourism Partnership and advisor to WTM Africa on its Responsible Tourism Charter. He also helped to draft the Cape Town Declaration on Responsible Tourism. Established in 2002, it outlines principles for tourism that benefits both visitors and host communities.
