Val Goss, mother of the late Evelyn Lyle, celebrated her 93rd birthday on Monday February 3. Ms Goss says she was surprised with a birthday celebration at The Galley on Fish Hoek Beach on Friday February 7. The event was organised by Mathea Eichel, co-owner of The Galley, who has known Ms Goss for more than 25 years. Ms Goss says the evening was a great surprise with beautifully decorated tables and a specially made birthday cake, pictured. "It was a jolly evening filled with music and dancing, and I can't thank Mathea enough.“
