Fish Hoek Lions Club hosted a Wellness Day at Longbeach Mall on Saturday April 12. According to Lion Lauren Winder the day exceeded expectations with scores of visitors making use of the various services such as blood pressure monitoring, diabetes screening, and breast exams. Contributing organisations which included Living Hope, the Western Cape Blood Service, and two registered nurses from the club conducted 54 hearing tests, 51 HIV tests, 150 blood glucose tests, 242 blood pressure tests, 92 cholesterol tests, 43 breast examinations, and 77 blood grouping checks.
