Has government lost sight of ethics?

Letter to the Editor|Published 2 years ago

Jean Curtis, Faerie Knowe

I'm truly shocked at the news on the front page, “Red tape drowning livelihoods” of the False Bay Echo of Thursday October 13.

These fishermen, and the buyers of fish from the boats for resale to the public, are totally, and for generations, been using, and protecting the ocean, by eco fishing, not depleting the ocean of seafood.

Now, someone with time on their hands has decided to rather give licences to commercial fishing, and taking food out of the mouths of those who really need it.

Has this government lost sight of ethics?
