Ocean View Volleyball Club's girls' under-15 squad won the Cape Town Volleyball Federation's Youth Day tournament, at Belhar indoor centre on Monday June 16.
Played over two days, Ocean View won all their matches in the round-robin stage and beat Kraaifontein's Mighty Falcons 1-0 in the semi-finals.
An all-round team effort and individual brilliance helped them beat Mitchell's Plain 2-1 in the finals to lift the trophy and a number of individual awards.
Well-known on the Cape circuit, Ocean View Volleyball Club started its girls division in 2023 with teams playing in the CTVF under-14 and under-19 leagues and recruits players from schools in the area. For more information, call 065 521 3593.
