Behind the calm exterior of this young entrepreneur lies a deep thirst for adventure, a trait that runs through his family’s veins. For over 150 years, his ancestors ventured off the beaten path, exploring parts of the world where few dared to go at the time.
From Lebanon to Australia, Morocco to Vietnam, and across the Indian Ocean, his family’s journey spanned five continents, leaving behind a rich and eclectic legacy that sparked his own love for exploration.
Thibaud’s curious and sensitive soul was shaped by a childhood surrounded by the beauty of nature. In 2006, he moved to China and spent the next decade immersing himself in various Asian countries.
It was there, where his Western perspective met new influences, that he began to develop a unique approach to nature—one that was slower, more mindful, and deeply sensory. He learned to take his time, to be present, and to appreciate the vastness of the world, while still noticing the smallest details.
During his travels, Thibaud explored the plantations of raw materials used in perfumery, constantly having his senses awakened by new experiences. His journey wasn’t just about scents—it was about soaking up everything around him.
Whether he was smelling scorched sandalwood on an erupting volcano, tasting hibiscus tea at a gemstone market, walking through rose fields by the sea, or sipping absinthe under the Northern Lights, each encounter added another layer to his extraordinary, often unexpected knowledge of perfume.
Now, Thibaud shares these incredible experiences through his perfumes, inviting us to dive into a world filled with surprising textures, sounds, flavors, and scents.

When Thibaud Crivelli visited vetiver and patchouli plantations in Indonesia, he met with the producers and became fully aware of the need to encourage sustainable development practices for perfume raw materials.
These practices must be encouraged for the following 5 reasons:
• Maintaining a perennial production, which is threatened by a move towards other, easier to produce crops (mainly palm oil)
• Limiting soil depletion
• Avoiding the use of chemical fertilizers
• Promoting permaculture and encouraging producers to limit slash -and-burn methods that contribute to deforestation
• Maintaining highly levels of quality
This approach led Maison Crivelli to support the Cœur de Forêt (Heart of the Forest) association, and to participate in the sustainable development of patchouli in Indonesia.
