Zimbabwean national Blessing Bveni, who was charged with the murders of cyclist Ian McPherson, 68, and pilot, Doug Notten, 57, was found guilty in the Western Cape High Court last week.
Bveni, who has been dubbed the Table Mountain killer, faced 10 charges for various crimes he committed in the Table Mountain National Park (TMNP), including murder, attempted murder, assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm, robbery, attempted robbery with aggravating circumstances, and two counts of contravening the Immigration Act.
He was found guilty on all 10 charges.
Bveni stabbed Mr Notten to death in January 2018 while he and his wife, Julia, were hiking near Eco Valley above Boyes Drive.
He was also found guilty of the murder on Mr McPherson near Brigantine Avenue in Sun Valley in March 2018.
Mr McPherson was cycling at the time.
Judge Judith Cloete said that the version presented by Bveni in his defence was improbable, and she found it to be false beyond reasonable doubt.
He will remain in custody and will be back in the dock in January 2021 for sentencing.
