The South African Navy has named the main engine of a ship after the wife of a long-serving member. Senior Warrant Officer Anthony Bent, has been a member of the SA Navy for 41 years. He retired at the end of February and, as part of tradition, his shipmates bade farewell to him by naming the main engine of the ship after his wife, Natalie, during an officer commanding division parade on Friday, February 18.
