Hats off for high tea

Bright, colourful, and creative hats filled the Simon’s Town Hall on Saturday for the annual Mad Hatters high tea fund-raiser for the Glencairn Neighbourhood Watch. The event was organised by Malinda Coetzee and Dane Cherry. Ms Coetzee also did the catering. They were assisted by a team of volunteers and members of the Glencairn community and the watch, pictured here. There were prizes for the best hat, the best-decorated table, and an auction with prizes sponsored by the community and local businesses. Guests were also treated to a fashion show by local designers and modern dancing.
