Large waves and a strong south-easter could not deter the 70 paddlers on Friday October 14 from starting the Friday night Seadog Paddle Series hosted by the Fish Hoek Lifesaving Club. Known as “the race that’s never cancelled,” the Seadog Paddle Series has become a Friday night icon during Cape Town’s summer months and was co-founded in 2009 by Fish Hoek Lifesaving Club members Dawid and Nikki Mocke, and later run by fellow member, Craig Flanagan.
