Music for charity

The South African Navy Band and Simonstown.com, a non-profit website funded by the businesses listed on the site to promote tourism, donated 1 200 packs of sanitary towels to Ocean View High School on Tuesday, October 18, and 600 packs of sanitary towels to Masiphumelele High School on Wednesday, October 19. They were joined by members of Warriors of Hope, a non-profit organisation that supports poor communities. The initiative was started by the band’s director of music, Commander Lindela Madikizela. The band performed after the hand-overs.
