Simon's Town High School held its valedictory service on Friday October 20. Acting principal Lucrecia Harrison said Siseko Makholwana was named the Valedictorian for 2023, and head boy Simankele Ntingiso was named the Dux Student of 2023. They are both students at The Lawhill Maritime Centre at Simon's Town School. Siseko has achieved nine distinctions so far in matric, and he is planning to secure a bursary to study marine engineering at CPUT. Simankele will be studying the officer of the watch course at the South African Maritime Training Academy next year and hopes to one day be a ship's captain.
