Fish Hoek police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving and leaving the scene of an accident after a 41-year-old man from Masiphumelele was seriously injured in a hit-and-run on Sunnydale Road earlier this month. Cape Medical Response spokesperson Darren Zimmerman said the man, a woodcutter, was taken to Victoria Hospital with a serious leg injury on Saturday May 4. Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Peter Middleton said the incident was reported to police last week. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the investigating officer Detective Warrant Officer Chris Cloete at 021 784 2700.
