The Heartsong Collective, a choir and production company, will hold a fund-raising sing-along concert for Music in Community, a new charity, at the Kalk Bay Community Centre, on Saturday October 19, from 2pm to 4pm.

Music in Community, run by Kathleen Eggers, comprises a choir and a violin project. It operates in Ocean View, Redhill and Masiphumelele (“Music in Community Choir calls for new members,” Echo, September 18.)

Proceeds from the event would help to buy a keyboard for the Music in Community Choir, Ms Eggers said.

The Heartsong Collective’s Lynne Poulsen said: “We will be workshopping two of the songs with the audience and then making a recording to share with our fellow singers who are joining in the event all over the world.”

Tickets cost R100 on Quicket, and entry is free for children under 12.
