Seniors end year in style

Staff Reporter|Published

The Forever Young Seniors Club in Ocean View ended the year with food, music, dancing and a visit from Father Christmas. The group, started by Mutheera Fortune, of Mutheera’s Projects, met at the multi-purpose centre in Ocean View on Monday December 9, to look back on the year. The group is supported by the CareCompany Community and ARKYS Outreach, both non-profit organisations. Ms Fortune said the Monday exercise and dancing programmes provided by ARKYS Outreach were a favourite among the seniors this year, adding that she was grateful for the support of the CareCompany Community as it had supported the seniors club from its inception. She said that thanks to ARKYS Outreach, the club had also participated in environmental outreach projects this year. Ms Fortune is pictured with senior dancing instructor from ARKYS Outreach, Angela Featherstone.
