The Izivunguvungu MSC music group, pictured, and Commander Mike Oldham provided the music at a service of remembrance held on Sunday March 16, at Jubilee Square. The service honoured the cadets of the SA Training Ship, General Botha (GB), who gave their lives in service to their country. According to Commander Oldham, the service was attended by more than 100 people aged from 9 to 90 years. He said lists were displayed recognising the fallen cadets, while naval personnel, both serving and retired, led the congregation in hymns, wreath-laying, and the National Anthem, alongside civic dignitaries. The Lawhill Choir also performed at the service.
