The Reminisce: HOPE concert in support of breast cancer patients will take place in Pinelands on Saturday, October 25.
The concert is organised by the Table View-based Reminisce non-profit group that shares joy and supports charity work through music.
Founder of Reminisce, Sadia Hartle said the goal of the concert is to raise over R50 000 for Project Flamingo, an organisation based in Tokai that supports breast cancer patients. “This event is a heartfelt tribute to the courage and resilience of breast cancer survivors. All proceeds will benefit Project Flamingo, a non-profit dedicated to restoring dignity and timely care to patients in the public health sector,” she said.
The concert will feature an array of musical artists including Faried Swartz, Shannon Lewis, Tersia Harley, Kay, Sadia Hartle, Darryn “DJ FLY” Hartle, and The OG's Dance Crew.
The artists come from Mitchells Plain, Ravensmead, Elsies River and Milnerton, among other areas.
Guests supporting the concert can look forward to musical journeys through classics by Olivia Newton-John, Carly Simon, Sheryl Crow, Dusty Springfield, Simply Red, and more. There will also be renditions of James Bond theme songs, and sing-alongs.
The Reminisce: HOPE concert will take place at Southpoint Studios, 75 Morningside Street, Pinelands on Saturday October 25, from 3pm until 5pm.
