Fourteen children from the Da Gama Park Nature Club braved the cold and wet weather on Saturday April 22 to celebrate Earth Day with a clean-up of their area. The Da Gama Park Nature Club is a youth development project of Cape Peninsula Civil Conservation. In addition, the children also planted indigenous plants. Cuttings were planted into cardboard toilet roll holders to repurpose waste. They will be planted together with the cutting and will hold moisture around the roots.
