Registration for phase 2 of the Covid-19 vaccine roll-out has opened, according to the provincial Department of Health.
People older than 60 will be vaccinated first and can register on the electronic vaccination data system (EVDS).
Receiving the Covid-19 vaccination will help to protect you from severe Covid-19 symptoms.
You will need your ID, passport, or asylum seeker/refugee number to register and you will need to have the documents with you when getting vaccinated.
If you are a member of a medical aid, take your medical aid card with you. To register, visit the website and follow the steps on the portal and complete your details.
You will receive a SMS to confirm your registration. When it is your turn to be vaccinated, you will receive an SMS telling where and when. Provision will be made for people in old age homes and people who do not own devices to register.
