In the False Bay Echo’s edition of Thursday September 1 it is inaccurately stated that a temporary radio mast has been put up on Elsies Peak and that all services have been restored. The mast was blown over in the early hours of Thursday morning, last week. A new statement by Sentech, the state-owned company that provides electronic communications network services to the country’s broadcasting and communications industry, says it has procured a temporary tower, which is expected to be completed, weather permitting, on Friday September 2. Once the tower has been installed, all services will be restored.
