GRUESOME FIND: Body at Voorbrug taxi rank

Delft commuters were shocked on Wednesday early morning when they discovered the body of an unidentified man hanging at Voorbrug taxi rank.
The body of the man was discovered after 4am and the victim is a black male who was found by a taxi driver who arrived at the rank.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg confirmed the incident and said the circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation.
He says: “Delft police registered an inquest for investigation after the body of a male believed to be in his thirties was found at the taxi rank in Voorbrug, Delft, at about 04:20.
The circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation. A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
A Facebook post read that Delft residents speculated whether the man was murdered or possibly hung by someone else.
One commuter wrote: “When I arrived there, his body was still hanging. There was only one police van at the time. It was still very dark and I couldn't really see what was going on.”
Another commuter said, “It was very traumatic to witness something like this so early in the day.”

According to a member of the Delft Neighborhood Watch the victim is from Corona Village in Delft and is believed to be a security officer however was found without any belongings or a bag.
Attempts to reach out to the Delft Community Police Forum for comment surrounding this incident were ignored.
