Steph Mellor, outgoing chairperson, Simon’s Town Business Association

Thank you for your amazing support at the Just Nuisance birthday event this weekend.

It was a wonderful celebration and we would like to thank our ward councillor, Simon-Liell Cock; the Simon’s Town Museum manager, Cathy Salter Jansen, and team for hosting the event; all our volunteers from www.simonstown.com; the Happy Valley team; the Simon’s Town Civic Association members, Merle Evertse, Kathy Balitho and Tim Skea; Anna-Marie from Cape To Point Tours; Colleen Glencross, Louise Pattison and Esther Le Roux at registration; Tanya and Sam Chetty at The Waterhole; and the Lord Nelson for doggie bowls.

The Nelson Mandela Artillery Pipes & Drums lead the walkers and fur babies. The sound of the bagpipes, the rhythm of the drums and the sway of the kilts were appreciated by Simon’s Town.

I would also like to thank our generous sponsors: African Bank, Craft Art Emporium, Dream Images Photography, Environmall, Harbour Bay Mall, Just Nuisance Art Gallery, Mach 1 for security, Mariners Guest House & Villa, My Father’s House, Paws & More pet shop, Perfect Water, Harbour Bay Mall, Pick n Pay for the cupcakes and beautiful themed Just Nuisance birthday cake, San Giorgio’s Butchery and Zuydam Konsult.

I am proud for my involvement since 2019, and the Just Nuisance birthday event is close to my heart. I have stepped down as chairperson of the Simon’s Town Business Association, but I will be involved as a team member at www.simonstown.com.
