Misleading advertisement

In its issue of February 9, the False Bay Echo carried a misleading advertisement on page 7. This was published by the St James Retirement Hotel with the claim “The Only Retirement HOTEL in the Cape.”

This is untrue since we, in Fish Hoek, have been a worthy competitor since 2013. That specious claim should be publicly retracted.

David Hartnick and Belinda Baker, management team, St James Retirement Hotel, responds:

We apologise for the dissatisfaction caused by our advertisement for the St James Retirement Hotel, published in the False Bay Echo on February 9, and assure you that the content will be revised accordingly

The wording in the advertisement was indeed too broad in concept and will, as stated, be amended.
