Motorsport action at Killarney's Extreme festival opener

Round 1 of the Extreme festival took place at Killarney International Raceway at the weekend. The event featured thrilling motorsport action across all categories with Capetonian Julian van der Watt securing pole in his Golf GTi. 

Marco Retter in his Cape Town-built BMW tackles the upcountry super cars, a Mercedes Benz and Mclaren.

Cape Town's Julian van der Watt, number 42, is the meat in the sandwich as the SA touring cars enter turn one. Unfortunately his right rear suspension broke and he couldn’t finish this race.
