Ubuntu Football Academy's boys' side faced Observatory-based FC Kapstadt in the quarter-finals of this year's Tournament by the Sea, going down 2-1. The Fish Hoek boys had a good run in the group stages, beating hosts Strandfontein AFC 6-0 in their opening fixture, Lansdowne 2-0 and Rygersdal 7-1. In the last round of 16, they beat Shosholoza 6-0 before making their exit in their quarter-final clash against FC Kapstadt. The Observatory side can consider themselves unlucky as they lost 5-4 on penalties against Bayhill United. Ubuntu goalkeeper, Caiden Craig, was named goalkeeper of the tournament.
