Tafelsig freestyler set to fly the flag for the Mother City at national Dance Your Style finals

Aimsley Fortuin, an all-styler from Tafelsig, will represent the Mother City at the Red Bull Dance Your Style national finals, in Cape Town, on Saturday, August 30.  Known for his flashy freestyle, Fortuin claimed victory in Cape Town regional finals a fortnight ago, and a spot at the nationals. The national champion will earn the right to fly the South African flag at the Red Bull Dance Your Style world final, in Los Angeles, in October.

Having always dreamt of entering but held back by life's demands and travels, Fortuin is thrilled to be back home in Cape Town this winter season and seize his moment. "It was amazing! Seeing everyone, the South Africans from all the nations, all crowded here, and most importantly seeing my family in the audience," he said of his qualifying experience. 

Heading to nationals, Aimsley vows: “I want to bring my style, my heart, my feelings, my spirit, that I always wanted to bring to the world and my family! I’m here to give it my all.”
