It is back to the drawing board for one of the country’s top rugby schools, Wynberg Boys’ High, after a 10-32 defeat to Boland Landbou, in Wynberg, on Saturday, May 11.
Wynberg are on a bye this weekend. They will look to bounce back to winning ways when they host Paul Roos, on Saturday, May 25.
As it stands, Wynberg are ranked 14 on the school’s rugby rankings this season after winning six out of nine games. They lost two, against Rondebosch (27-49) and Boland Landbou (10-32), while drawing one match against Grey High (10-10), from Gqeberha.
Meanwhile, the number one ranked rugby school this season, Paul Roos, beat SACS (28-10) this past weekend. Before their encounter against Wynberg on Saturday, May 25, Paul Roos will host the second-ranked rugby school this season, Paarl Gim, on May 18, in another exciting school boy rugby fixture, in Paarl.
Paarl Gim have lost one out of 10 games. They were beaten 29-27 by Grey College, from Bloemfontein, on April 20.
In other results, Milnerton High School are unbeaten in nine consecutive matches this season. Their latest victory was a 53-12 scoreline against Parel Vallei, at home on Saturday, May 11. They have won nine out of 11 games ahead of their fixture against SACS, away, on Saturday, May 18.
