Great as they are white sneakers can be hard to keep clean. We have researched and tried ways to keep our All-Stars clean, and we have seen the 5 below, actually work.
Use vinegar and baking soda
Home remedies our mothers and grandmothers taught us often come in handy, and this is one such instance.
To clean your white All-Stars with vinegar and baking soda, mix a cup of baking soda in warm water with two tablespoons of vinegar.
After that mix the paste and spread it on the shoe, leave it for about 10 mins then rinse and dry.
Maize meal cleaning
This is probably the oldest way of cleaning white sneakers. It works effectively. Make a paste with maize meal and water, spread the paste onto your shoes then leave them for a whole day, then rinse and dry.
Use toothpaste
For this, you will need a white toothpaste (don’t use the gel as this will stain the sneakers) and a toothbrush. Spread the toothpaste with the toothbrush all over your sneaker, soak them in a little water, then rinse or wash the paste off with washing machine and hang to dry.
Washing powder
This is one of the simplest and also effective ways to keep your sneakers white. All you have to do is soak your shoes for 30 mins to an hour and rinse and try afterward. If the dirt on them is too much, you can add a drop of bleach into the washing powder.
Nail polish remover
Your partner’s beauty closet will come in handy here, you may beef with her afterward, but we are certain she will understand the importance of keeping the most popular sneaker looking sleek. Rub the nail polish remover all over the shoe, after that wash them in liquid soap water, rinse and dry.
