American rapper Cardi B has another bit of advice for her followers.
The Grammy-award-winning musician, Cardi B, shared the benefits of getting laser hair removal to avoid razor bumps, ingrown hairs, and skin darkening in sensitive areas like private parts and underarms.
“You all be putting turmeric, lemons and stuff. You’re not making tea with your p****. Stop making teas with your p****. You need to laser so your hair can get softer and little by little, your hair will stop growing.
“You all want to jump out of the game and bleach, it doesn’t work like that. You need to laser your p**** and your underarms,” she said.
She also added that when she was pregnant, her underarms and private parts got darker because she couldn’t get laser treatment but now everything is better.
Tiara Willis, an aesthetic and laser technician, concurred with Cardi B, stating that if people have the financial means, they should opt for laser hair removal over shaving.
“Laser hair removal treats the root of the issue. Ingrown hairs are caused by the hair inside the follicle struggling to reach the surface (especially for thicker, curlier hair). This leads to inflammation and sometimes infection.
“Laser works by heating the hair inside the follicle, which damages the follicle so it grows less hair or thins it out,” explained Willis.
She added: “Laser in general also can improve the overall texture and hyperpigmentation of your skin. The same lasers used to treat hair removal, are often used for facial treatments.”
She added that if you plan on getting a laser treatment, do your research and make sure you get it done by a profession.
